Vector : Interact
“Vector:Interact is a virtual reality interface exploring embodiment and VR through creative movement and responsive audiovisuals. It was designed by Danielle Lottridge, Becca Weber, Joanna Cook and team, from the University of Auckland, New Zealand”

The interface features a video projection that looks like a starry night sky. A Kinect camera captures the movement of the subject's body and then creates a corresponding interactive visual and auditory feedback. The sensory feedback are meant to encourage the subject to explore their body and its movement while creating a relaxed and aesthetic experience.
The visual feedback in one version takes the form of tiny little white balls that resemble stars as well as blue blurs. In another version the visual feedback component resembles sand. The audio in the first version is a series of consonant chords while in the second it's a more intense and piercing sound.
